Our Story

Across Somalia, millions of young people are ready to work, innovate, and build their nation’s future. Yet traditional approaches to job creation often fall short, leaving talent untapped and communities vulnerable. In 2022, four of Somalia’s leading organizations united to change this.

Our Founding Members

Together, these organizations bring over 60 years of combined experience working with Somali youth:

  • City University of Mogadishu: Somalia's leading institute of higher education, pioneering innovative approaches to skills development
  • Puntland Development and Research Center: Contributing 25 years of research and development experience
  • Iftiin Foundation: Experts in social enterprise and youth program innovation
  • YEEL: Specialists in youth entrepreneurship and training

Our Impact So Far

In our first year, we’ve demonstrated what’s possible through locally-led solutions:
  • Created over 800 new jobs
  • Supported 5,300+ community members
  • Improved opportunities for 6,000+ youth
  • Established presence in 10 regions
  • Built a network of 50+ partners
